Ancient Secrets of Rejuvenation & Longevity

IMG_3580.JPG

Who among us does not want Vibrant Great Health, Happiness, and Prosperity and to maintain youthfulness into our later years? Well guess what? It is not as difficult as you may believe. How we begin our day dictates the energy we take into the world with us each day and whether we experience a flow of ease and efficiency in our life or challenges and blockages. When we greet each day relaxed and stress-free, (besides all of the obvious benefits), we extend our life span considerably. Once you decide what you really want for your life all you need do is make the commitment to change your old routines and habits to fresh, new, and nourishing ones. Here is a wonderful way to begin.

JUst Do It… You Will Not Regret It!

Rise early in the morning, preferably before dawn. Between 4:30 & 5:00 am is ideal. In the beginning of this ‘Experiment’, you will need some encouragement and if you are not yet developed in this area, then ask your partner for some assistance in getting you out of the bed.
(Lovingly of course)
Try not to hesitate. Move directly to the bathroom and grab your newly purchased coarse bristle body brush and begin brushing your whole body from your neck to your toes. Do not forget to do under your arms for this is where stimulation for your entire glandular system is most beneficial. Brush with a small circular motion, moving down the outside of the arms and up the inside, down the outside of the rib cage and then the thighs and legs. The same with the legs... Brush down the outside and backs with circular motions and up the inside. (This is the way the meridians flow and is optimal for waking up the whole nervous system.)
Okay now you have a choice, since you’ve just removed old dead skin cells and activated the renewal of your body’s Epidermis, you might want to rub in some natural skin oil to replenish and counter potential dryness. Lightly apply the oil to as much of your body as you can. The body oil does not need to be Organic quality (for economic reasons), but it is ideal for the health and vitality of your body.
Now comes perhaps the most challenging part, but the most beneficial. Without further ado, turn on the shower, all the way cold, and jump in. In the beginning, one minute is enough. As you become braver and more resilient, you can stay in for up to five minutes. Afterwards, dry off with a course towel (Towels treated with fabric softener only smear the dampness around and do not stimulate the skin.)
Since ancient times in Japan, the Yamabushi mountain monks practiced a sacred communion with Nature. To this day the practice continues. One part requires the monks to hike up a sacred mountain and stand under a natural waterfall while meditating. This discipline is said to accelerate spiritual awakening in the disciple. Not that you’d want to follow the path of these ascetic monks, nevertheless you may derive these amazing benefits from a daily cold shower:
Vastly improved overall circulation
Lymphatic system stimulation
Strengthened Immune system
(What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.)
Regulates body temperature
(Warm in the cold winter months, cool in the summer heat)
Increased mental clarity and awareness
Vagus nerve is given attention
(The Vagus nerve is a two-way network of communication between the brain and most major organs in your body. It regulates things like our Immune system’s response to outside attacks, reduces pain sensitivity, our ability to relax, appetite, and much more. A properly functioning vagus nerve will improve brain-body communication, and consequently improve overall body functions.)
